Not having much luck

I just joined and have done several searches including one on myself. I've lived in the same state all my life, married & divorces 3 times, etc. Every search I've tried comes up "no results." How can this be? Can someone help?

welcome to the forum i do not know which site you joined but this is a free site where members try to help each other if you do a search of the forum you will find posts from other members there is a lot of info and sites some free you can get the link to this and the forum rules is under my sig line

Thanks Gary, the site I joined was Records Area for 39.00. Guess I just got ripped off. They have no record of anything, not even myself. Do you know anything about this site?

if you are not happy whith that site that you are a member of make a complaint to them and feel free to use this forum as i said we are not part of eny other site and we have a lot of members that may be of help to you if you look at the rules first then post if you want to

I too joined the same site and was unable to even locate myself via their search tools. I guess some people just like to make $ off us who are searching for lost ones.

no sorry the site was www.recordslogin.com and says click to enter forum here which leads me to this forum so u obviously know the company and condone it. can u explain where else people that go to that site would ask the question if your site is listed as the forum for this ripoff site then?

Did that & surprise, surprise no reply whatsoever. Not to worry though, that is just the chance you take when you spend money on the net.

FYI the site was www.Australian-Records.com & once you have paid subscription it then becomes www.recordslogin.com and that is when you find out that the site is for USA searches and not really designed for Australian searches.

The main members page proudly displays a link to their 'Detective Forum' which leads you here.

If this forum site is in no way associated with the other dodgy rip-off site then I suggest the owners of this site e-mail them to complain as the other sites page is set up in such a way as to make it appear this site and theirs are both one & the same site.

Thanks for your suggestion, I just wanted to leave this info in the hope that no other people get ripped off for $39 US in the belief that they are paying to join and Australian site.

Now I am very sus. This site & the other are really one and the same aren't they ??

I think that Lawman is 100% correct when he says that you obviously know the company and condone it. If that is the case then I am very dissapointed indeed.

Any other suggestions? I am contacting the Australian Govt Dept of Fair Trading to report the other site as fraudulent as I believe that they are ripping people off.

I think this site really needs to distance itself if in fact it is independant of the other theives.

Thanks very much have tried these 2 but I do appreciate the suggestion. But as I said if you are not connected then you should not advertise that site on this page. Makes it hard to believe as the 2 sites are linked 2 each other with one click of the mouse. Very strange I think.
