hi im very new and i have no idea how to look for someone but heres my problem. i am adopted along with my brother and my sister. i was told we all have the same mom but different dads. i dont know what my original last name is. where i was born all i know is that i was born somewhere in ny state. ive tried searching by my last name and it says there are no records. i need to figure out who my birth parents and i want to find out who they are before i get married. there are so many questions to ask them. all i know about my birth mother is that shes Jewish and that the condition for my adoption was that i be placed in a Jewish home

Hi magickreaver. You will need to get all the information you can from your adoptive parents and work from there, the links below may help you.

OUR MISSION
FOR ADOPTEE RIGHTS

Bastard Nation advocates for the civil and human rights of adult citizens who were adopted as children. Millions of North Americans are prohibited by law from accessing personal records that pertain to their historical, genetic and legal identities. Such records are held by their governments in secret and without accountability, due solely to the fact that they were adopted.

Bastard Nation campaigns for the restoration of their right to access their records. The right to know one's identity is primarily a political issue directly affected by the practice of sealed records adoptions. Please join us in our efforts to end a hidden legacy of shame, fear and venality.
