Hi I am new to you. I have my personal Military Records. I am looking for my health records and my pay records. I am also trying to find my hospital records from Okinawa Japan where I was in hospital for 2 months toward the end of 1965. I have searched every where and everything. I don't know where else to search. We have the archives telling us that they are lost and burnt up. I served in Vietnam from April 1965 to April 1966. So my records should not be in the ones that burned up. We can not seem to get anybody to help us. They have lied to us and just about spit in my face. They tell me to check back with them and they get mad because I did and want to know Who I think I am. They have even sent me to places that are not even there. How discouraging it is. These are vets suppose to be helping vets. It really makes you mad. Is there anybody out there that can truly help me? ArmyVet[/b]

ArmyVet welcome to Detective Forums.

I'm also a Vet same war, I ran into a similar problem some years ago. To make a long story short, I contacted my local Congress person’s office for assistance and they were able to open doors that were slammed in my face.

We already went to my congressman from the district I live in. He is too tied up with health care to help a veteran. That is the end of that. I served a year in Soc Trang from April 65 to April 66. We are now trying to go through the DAV. The first week it was going good but since then he has not answered any calls back. So where do I go from there? Anybody that is on the message board that was at Soc Trang 65 and 66 I would sure like to hear from them. Thanks ArmyVet
