I need help finding any possible court records on an individual.
I joined some site that was supposed to provide a court records report, but it was useless. Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

<some more info if you care to read>
I need help finding court records on an ex-highway patrol officer. This person is my Wife's ex-husband and was very abusive to her and to the general public. He has since lost his job for these reasons but has won temporary visitation of her two young daughters due to his and his lawyers deception during a temporary court hearing. They told the judge he did not lose his job(claimed he retired) and basically presented a false image of him as a model citizen.
The real court date is coming soon and we would like to obtain information to confirm his abusive nature. The lawyers are requesting his employment records but we have heard rumors that he abused his previous two wives and there could be court evidence to prove it.
He is only wanting visitation to hurt my wife for marrying me, he cares nothing about getting the girls and would do harm to them if he gets too frustrated. We know the truth will come out and the judge will FINALLY see the light but we would like to make sure he sees all the light he can!

Thanks.

It's all pretty much contingent on the state your in some states: CA,CT. Provide complete Dockets w/charges & dispositions others offer hardly anything at all, But unless he was charged & prosecuted/convicted there won't be nothing however if he had a domestic (Domestic violence charge) which has an automatic restraining /protective order issued ,that will show (But that doesn't mean this guy was actually violent I have seen fellow officers get jammed -up just because they were laughing & had beer on their breath & the wife decided to try & jam him up ! Law Enforcement Officers are held to a higher /different standard than others ,in particular because one forfeits his right to carry a firearm till the case is adjudicated ...As far as his retirement goes (Having just retired in good standing from my state job!!) The retirement board keeps a record which is available through the public F.O.I.

Internal affairs where he worked can reveal records of disipline if proper proceedure is followed to request them .Cantact them and ask what documentation they need to release. In some cases all can be had under the F.O.Info. Act as long as the charges had a disposition and not open. or you may need court order by your lawyer but you certainly can get them. Also, a P.I (Good Investment) when children are at stake or at risk, always. can talk to his ex's who probably would be glad to provide info on when, where ,how and why he got jammed in the past. Make sure they get a "taped" statement Also be careful for disgruntled domestic situations like Lawman advises, any cop can tell you, all a woman has to do is say she is afraid of you as a gun carrying cop and your detached to the rubber gun squad until you prove youself innocent.. Am I right Cops??
