Please help me find information on my adoption

i am trying to locate information surrounding my adoption; birth mother/father names, birth certificate, adoption records ect...
Does anyone know where to locate such information? i would really appreciate the help.

One of the most important things you are going to need to know, if you haven't found this out from the people who adopted you is: Where did the adoption take place? Was it in the US or overseas? If it was in the US, you are going to need to try to find out what state it was. You will also need to know the names and birthdates of your adoptive parents.

DON'T get your hopes up to high that you are going to be able to find any solid information because it is entirely possible that your adoption may be one of those that is labeled as 'closed' or 'sealed'. What that means is that the records will be unaccessible because of the terms in the adoption.

If you do have name and birthdate information of your adoptive parents and know which state you were adopted in, you can look in the front section of your local phone book in the Government section (or use your web browser) to try to locate information for that state's Vital Records office. It might cost you up to $50, but if they will try to locate your official birth certificate and provide you with a copy. (you'll have to call and ask them for specific information about what information you will need and what forms you will need to fill out).

hopefully you are still checking this posting i may be able to help
here is my advice
forget your adoptive parents unless they are going to give you documents
stories can be checked but usually don't pan out
your mother ( she will be the focus of the search )
in the county that you were supposed to have been born
on the county birth index on your birthday you will find your mothers last name now you have to figure out which name it is
usually a mother that puts a child for adoption has the same name for the birth last name and the maiden name so on the list the name will occur twice on the same line NOW if you learn how to read the birth index and
if you have a real index it will hold all of the info you need to find your mother good luck ( this works )

THEY PROBABLY NEVER WILL UNLESS

THEY ARE DYING
