Ok I give up.
I have searched the site and the net and I simply cannot find what I need.
I need to know who holds liens on a residential property and how much. I am bidding on a short sale and I need to know exactly which bank(s) hold mortgages and if there are any other liens. I was able to find the county recorders information and I found the name of the primary mortgage holder but not the original amount of mortgage and I am unable to find if there is a second or other liens.
This is for a residential property in Del City, Oklahoma County, OK
I tried links that were provided in other posts but they didn't hold information for oklahoma. |

Yond,
The only way, I believe, to get all this info is to get a title search. I don't see why you couldn't do that with a short sale.

You can get property records, but they arent free. Theyre like $5 a search or some through info resellers like Lexis and MerlinData and such, but TBH, i would never rely on an information reseller records search for something as major as what your talkin about since those records are notoriously inaccurate. I mean you probly could get away with it, but meh. Last thing you need is a fat judgment lien that you miss and then have some dood start threatening you with judicial foreclosure after you put out cash to buy the thing.
If your makin your bid through an agent, you should be able to get a prelim title report. A real title report costs an asston of money because its actually used in underwriting title insurance, and im assuming your not getting that...if your goin the cheap route and makin the bid yourself and dont know anyone with MLS access, then I would probly (a) goto your county recorderd website and tinker with the interface and see what you can find, and/or go down to the actual recorder and go through the title record. |
