I went thru this puzzle for a while last night whilest at work. I tried different variations and still have more to go. I first had the numbered lines, then I labeled each column a-i.

The first thing I did was go thru each line and picked all complete words, abbreviations, and slang going from left to right:

Line 1- AS, DO
Line 2- CRUISE, s-e-x, EX
Line 3- GO
Line 4- LEO
Line 5- OZ,YO
Line 6- ALP
Line 7- NOV
Line 8-
Line 9- I, AM
Line 10-
Line 11- IN, PIN, I
Line 12- HELM, ELM
Line 13- STEAM, TEAM

For the columns top to bottom:
a- PROWL, PROW, ROW
b- OR
c- FAN, FANTASIES
d- FOLLOW
e- SPOT, POT, VICTIM, TIME, ME
f- DETAILS, TAILS, AIL, AILS
g- OX
h-
i- GO, FOR, IT

I, having trouble staying on-line for some reason this morning, I had just finished typing my list, lines 1 - 13, down and 1 - 9 across, when I lost connection. Of course when I got logged back on the info was gone. You will probably have finished your list by the time I could re- type and post.

Line 8 across - IF I FIVB (fib)

Looks like you covered quite a bit!

I was noticing several of the words are written phonetically and it almost seems like a full message.

My problem is the bill-paying job of mine don't allow me much online time for long periods.

I understand that.

If I hadn't have put some of this together over time I wouldn't have much time, with a full-time job and 4 g-kids.

Job I currently have is real slow. Company we provide SK for is moving soon. Not sure how next location will be. If it's slow too, I'll have time after I get used to their site.

The following is a partial list of information that can be helpful in decipering the Zodiac cryptograms or BTK's chapter 8 puzzle:

A Y, V, L, T used in any direction could be the letter itself or an arrow indicating a change of direction or go to the next row.

Colored in shapes could be a blank space or represent a letter. For example a shaded square could be the letter D or O: A shaded triangle could be an A or a V: A shaded circle is O. This also applies to shapes when left plain. A Line _ represents a missing letter.

B 9 = Beign
S 9 = square or square 9
N 9 t = north nineth
A capital I with a line drawn middle ways on one side could be the letter I, T, E, or L., also it.

A shape with a dot in the center could be the letter as mentioned above or represent I or I and another letter.

9^R = niner
N = North or in
9 = is number 9 or letters q, p, or g
t = letter T, backwars j or the number 2
Line_ = skip or space
Z = is Zodiac, the letter Z, move right or left, or the number 2.
A colored square and X means go to the letter X

Backwards letters may also mean to go in the other direction

Upside down or upright T can mean to go up or down 1 space. EX: T, move up one space. May also be the letter T, L, I, and sometimes Y.
The letter V is also sometimes Y

The letter L, foward or backward, could mean go to the left or right, or the letter L

A number bsise a letter could indicate number of letters or rows to skip or to double a letter. EX:
2 B = bb

B Square Y O B = boy oh boy
DHN = down
ZO triangle l K = Zodiac
lOOC = Look
Wt = weight
Wct = watch
DWY = dowery
K, I with center line + C = catch
9 L colored in O + = Plot
l backwards Y l r = Liar
U Z G = using
T E l D Y = titty, Teddy, or Diety
F K D (censored word)
p o s h t = Pushed or post
O = owe
>l, or l<, may be a backwards K or move a space
M can be W or W can be M
M + Y = me and you
U + R = your, You're, or You are
C = letter C or see
Letters X or O may be blank spaces
Z= the letter Z or Zodiac or to move left or right

Hope this helps. Maybe now someone can solve the cryptograms, it takes a lot of time and concentration, and I've never been able to complete the ciphers or puzzles.

These are the tips I've found so far, but there may be others. Please post if you know them.

I have another QUESTION?

Does any one know whether a map exist that pinpoints by exact locations all the areas where serial murders have occured in America in the last 50 years; (solved and unsovled cases) and if such exist, would it be possible for a private citizen to obtain a copy and how?

If there is such a map (FBI must have something) it would not/could not, be all inclusive. Private citizens would more than likely be forbidden to see what they paid for.

Since Zodiac has not been captured and there are many unsolved cases that might could be attributed to him, I think a map like that could be a valuable tool in pinpointing where he may have originated.

In 43 years he would have perfected his M.O., so that even if he were captured, it might be impossible to obtain a conviction for all the murders that he actually committed. However, if a person could find his origin, one could probably determine how a person such as Zodiac could have esculated. Therefore, it might be possible to determine which other murders he was responsible for, before he was known as Zodiac, and since that time.

It is my opinion that Zodiac had killed before he emerged in California.

I would like to review a map like that. I do believe that some of the cases for which others have confessed to, been convicted of, and are serving time for, are in fact Zodiac murders.

Zodiac - figure representing the signs of the Zodiac and their symbols.

For future study: Zodiac M.O.

March -------Ram -------"murders"--?vehicular homicides, persons killed in vehicles
April -------Bull -------- "-----------?with lies
May ---------Twins ------- "-----------look alikes, twins
June ---------Crab ------- "-------boating accidents, sumerged vehicles
July ----------Lion ---------"---executives, popular, atheletic
August ------Virgin --------"children, young couples, teens
September--Balance --- --" EX: judges: cops
October ---- Scorpion -----"burn victims, knives
November - Archer ------- "hunting accidents
December - Goat --------- "? misfits, prostitutes
January ---- Water Bearer " victims near or under bridges
February --- Fishes ------- "drownings, SFK,

I just noticed something while I was looking at the

Future Study of Zodiac M.O.

Letters C & K are oft times used interchangably.

See: B ull, T win, & C rab----------BTK

You'll win rab ??

Might be that Zodiac's first murder occured in the Month of April, May, or June, before 1966.

Do you think this could be where BTK got the idea for his name?

BTK killer of Wichita, may have also gotten the idea for his name from the first letter of the last names of the 1st four officers who arrived at the scene of one of the murders that he had committed: B---- , T-----,K----, W------.

Compare the following list of names that BTK suggested that he be called with the list in my last post on the Zodiac killer:

BTK - 7 victims

Wichita Strangler - ?

Poetic Strangler - R. F. confessed.

Bondage Strangler or Psycho - motive to add insult to injury. Sent letters to family members of the victims. See also the Boston Strangler.

The Wichita Hangman - 11- year old girl found hung from sewer pipe.

The Wichita Executioner- Victims wh had been shot

The Garotte Phanthom- Persons BTK said would have been victims, but he got tired of waiting for them to come home, and persons of similar situations.

The Asphyxiater- 15 year old found stabbed a dozen times in the throat and chest,

Possible Smilie Face & BTK connection:

In the same community where three national football players were murdered and smiley faces are found, there are 3 little girls who went missing or were murdered in much the same way as the 6 year child in Colorodo.

2 sisters ages 9 & 16, in Wichita, were found drowned together in a hot tub with the lid on it down

62-year old missing woman found murdered under a bridge, Her death followed the death of a woman named M_R_N_.

Just to name a few
