This is my interpretation of the 2-line cipher that was included at the end of the 11th letter Zodiac mailed on June 26, 1970, to San Francisco.

How long have you been researching Zodiac?
Can you expound on the Zodiac – Smiley face connection?

The case has interested me since I was a child. I didn't actually began putting the puzzles together until recently when I found the puzzles in the book,
"Zodiac." I had always known they existed. I even dated a man who had shown them to me once, because he wanted to see if I could figure out what they said, but he didn't allow me to keep them.

I learned to read like that, because I was deaf when I was young and sitting in class reading the same boring story over and over, you have to figure out something else to do with it.

It also helped that a man had shown me how to do that, because of a speech problem I had. It was how he convinced me that others were not ignoring me, but that they couldn't understand what I was saying, because that's how I talked.

Except for the earlier information I mentioned, on the comment about "word patterns," I read on another site, I'm not sure how to explain the connection without revealing personal information.
That alone will not be enough to help most make the connection between the two cases. But I'll start reading information on the case, and as I see something that will make it connect, I'll let you know.

I'm more familiar with Zodiac and BTK, because
I have my suspicions as to who this person really is. I can't really elaborate on that, or prove it either, but I'm hoping the information in the puzzles and such will accomplish that.

It is only suspect that 40 young men-high achieving college students who have presumed to have drowned in 25 cities in 11 states are victims of the smilie face serial killer.

All but 2 are caucasin males with darker hair and athletic builds. Smilie faces were found at the scenes. This is the the kind of signature left by psychopatic killers.

They are lured into the water and drowned-no finger prints, clues,or signs of struggle at the scenes

It is said that the #11 is a satanic number. 11 cities in 11 years.

one of the victims had hair clutched in his hands.

Some of the young men attended colleges along the Interstate 94 corridor in the midwest.
Others were found in New Youk State.

Smilie faces that were found varied in size with each face being more haunting than the next, most sinister one was found in Iowa drawn in red with devils horns that read-"Evil Happy Devil Face Man."

Smiley Face Killer is taunting the police.

Cops think victims are taken from bars and held for a period of time-abused mentally and some
times physically before being killed.

Killer needs to have power and control
Needs to manipulate
Needs to cause the fear of death
Been killing for more than a decade
Probably drugs his victims

All victims have had their necklaces that have had crosses, St. Patrick, or St. Christopher medal and a celtic cross go missing.

One victim is found with different pants on than he was wearing when he was last seen in when leaving the bar.

Some suspect Native American Link, because of the names of many counties, rivers and lakes.

None of the murders have happened during the months of July- October1. Only 2 have happened in the month of June 2005.

None have happened on the night of a full moon.

The first letters in the names of the towns the victims were found in and in order by date of victims death spell out words.

Multiple smilie face death locations had graffiti that was similar to the Zodiac killers drawings that he sent to various people in SF. Police wouldn't describe them.

3 murder victims rented their cars in SF, but before they flew back to Sf, they were murdered.

In the same community where 3 national football players have died, 3 little girls went missing or were murdered in much the same manner as Jon-Benet Ramsey.

I do not agree with the profile the police give. It is as follows:

opposite of victims
not smart
not good in school
maybe doesn't have a job
not popular

Smart people are not easily lured by un-popular people, when out with their friends at a bar.

He could not travel if he did not have some form of income

He has some form of university connection to know which of his victims are college students.

He is someone who is able to get the attention of popular and smart college students, so therefore, he must at least appear to someone of reputable character.

Even though victims have been drinking at least one is said to have been seen standing outside talking calmly with his friends, so it is safe to assume that the victims haven't lost their sense of reasoning.

Smilie face likes to travel: It is reported that some of the killings took place on the same day in different states.

If you go back and look at what you have come up with on the puzzle, you will see 357 and 358

357 is the line numbers. 358 is the letter number
