Hey Casman here , I just wanted to know if anyone knows anything about cell phone spy programs. Has anyone got one or tried it or seen it in action. ??? Is there a reccomended brand of programming??

Basically I want to know all about them so I can make an informed decision

IF YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT THE REVERSE BLUE TOOTH TECHNOLOGY OR ANY OTHER "LISTENING DEVICES"
THE RULES ARE SIMPLE IF BY "SPYING" YOU MEAN "LISTENING" AND HAVE TO EMPLOY A DEVICE
"SPYING" IS CALLED "EAVESDROPPING"
ALSO KNOWN AS A FELONY IN JUST ABOUT ANY PLACE I COULD THINK OF! ADD TO IT THE CHARGES WHICH WILL BE INCURRED CONTINGENT ON HOW YOU END USE THE INFO!

But, are we talking about using a cell phone to just "listen" to a conversation or to gather information?

Well lots of times at the top of the forum page there are ads by google that have cell phone spy software that you can download.

Probably I mostly just want to listen.

I would like to know if you can use the application on more than 1 phone.

Pretty much I need to know all I can before I make a purchase.

Does anyone have it allready?

I really cannot ethically recommend a cell phone spy program because of the applicable laws in all states.

The only time I can see such program in being helpful is if a parent is suspicious of their underage child being involved in possible illegal activities.

But to listen to a conversation between two adults just to listen, I don't advocate such actions. I sure wouldn't want someone listening to my phone conversations because I don't want to be held responsible in their death from boredom!

I'm fully aware of the Google ads for such programs. During my DOBs ( Days of Boredom), I research such things. Many of the companies selling these programs uses a small text stating along the lines of "check all applicable laws before using this product. Company XYZ will not be held reliable on consumer end-use of this product" just to legally cover their behinds.
Not only is it legal for them to sell these programs and consumers buy them, but it's illegal in most areas to use these programs.

Leave it for the phreaks, hackers, and the US "Goveymunt"

But, if you insist on wanting to use one of these programs, here is my advice. Research the technology behind listening to cell phone conversations. When you are fully educated on the technology, then making a selection is a lot easier.

I thought that everything that went over the air is public.
O.K. just made a quick check and I thought cell phones and other such items that require a service provider whether free or not are under this..

This device complys with part 15 of the FCC rules. Operation is subject to the following 2 conditions.
(1) This device must not cause harmful interference
(2) This device must accept any interference recieved, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Furthermore FCC regulations state that, unauthorized changes or modifications to the equiptment not expressly approved by the manufacturer could void the users authority to operate the equiptement

I wonder if this kind of labeling comes with the cell spy programs

Being of the adoption search persuasion.
There are all sorts of record types that don't have any bearing in my field.
criminal, driving, bankrupt, prison records and so on do not concern me.

Accordingly I would have no idea where to find a database on the laws
regarding this cell phone spy topic !!

I can imagine that the technology is new enough for them not to have any laws that address this issue directly. And they may try to use general coverage type laws to convict this type of offense.

Can anyone tell me where I can go to see what the laws are regarding this topic ???

Hey Gary I am back!

I floated the site fairly well!

There was a lot of info there for the public to see.

From what I saw the technology to tap a cell phone works!
And is illegal.

Also it looks like in the next few years it won't be possible to do what you can do now..

Well WM I didn't have a special target in mind but I was considering it
since it is new to me and cheap.

Short of hearing a persons calls I can know all about them anyway.
