You GuYYYss!!!
Yeah That is a sharp picture..."Of the flag!" It "is a good thing" I don't know or am organized enough to use photo shop....as I had actually scanned that in backwards/"mirrored" and Watchman fixed that up and it does look better! Although It still looks different to me as it was one of the few times I can count on one hand I was not sporting a "Stash" I used that pic. in the spirit of "Full Disclosure" as the one I used when when I first joined (was from 1989 when I graduated top in my 150+ class so big we were split in groups and the last group to use the Old Academy campus known as "The Justice Academy") SO I REPLACED THAT ONE WITH THE ABOVE ONE from 1999 which was taken after I was told to report to the new State training center..a Professional Photographer was on hand to take my picture for "A HONOR WALL" for receiving a plaque from the governor & medal from the commissioner from /for my actions in subduing a violent felon who had once attempted to rape a female cop and was trying to stab another one! NOT ON MY BEAT! I AM Dang PROUD TO SAY!
IN KEEPING WITH FULL DISCLOSURE: I drew a Stash & Goat on the pic. ( As I actually appear today as depicted in my present B+W. pic I have been using from this spring of '09) my friend and mentor Watchman "Cleaned up" much as he helped clean up my rough edges in real /virtual life! THERE IS A VERY DEEP KARMIC ANALOGY THERE! BUT I THINK IT GOES W/O SAYING THIS TIME AS A PICTURE SAYS A THOUSAND WORDS!
THANK YOU!
VERY MUCH!!!

Although It may be indicative of my own lack of "maturity"
I have to admit I didn't know much about "Victor Mature" so being a firm believer in /that if you don't know something about someone or something ,you should just shut your mouth and no one will know you are an a*shole!
So I looked up Vic. using 2 good resources that are interesting and effective "Investigative resources:" Wikipedia-

FROM WIKIPEDIA:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page
A GREAT PLACE TO START EVERY INVESTIGATION...TRY IT

After the war, Mature was cast by John Ford in My Darling Clementine, playing Doc Holliday opposite Henry Fonda's Wyatt Earp. For the next decade, Mature settled into playing hard-boiled characters in a range of genres such as Westerns and Biblical films, such as The Robe (with Richard Burton and Jean Simmons) and its popular sequel, Demetrius and the Gladiators (with Susan Hayward). Both films deal with the fate of the robe worn by Jesus before the crucifixion. Mature also starred with Hedy Lamarr in Cecil B. DeMille's Bible epic, Samson and Delilah (1949) and as Horemheb in The Egyptian (1954) with Jean Simmons and Gene Tierney.
Quote:
He reportedly stated he was successful in Biblical epics because he could "make with the holy look".

He also starred with Esther Williams in Million Dollar Mermaid (1952), and had a romantic relationship with her according to her autobiography. [6] After five years of retirement in 1966 he was lured back into acting by the opportunity to parody himself in After the Fox, co-written by Neil Simon. In a similar vein in 1968 he played a giant, The Big Victor, in Head, a potpourri movie starring The Monkees. The character poked fun at both his screen image and, reportedly, RCA Victor who distributed Colgems Records, the Monkees's label. Mature enjoyed the script while admitting it made no sense to him, stating "All I know is it makes me laugh."

Mature was famously modest about his acting skill.
Quote:
Once, after being rejected for membership in a country club because he was an actor, he cracked, "I'm not an actor—and I've got sixty-four films to prove it!"[7] He was quoted in 1968 on his acting career: "Actually, I am a golfer. That is my real occupation. I never was an actor. Ask anybody, particularly the critics."[8]

WOW! YOU TELL 'EM VIC!

Idea SINCE "FORENSICS" /"FORENSIC INVESTIGATION" ESSENTIALLY MEANS &/OR PERTAINS TO LEGAL INVESTIGATION & I fancy myself a "Forensic Investigative/Intelligence Strategist I have a Latin/English & "Vice Verse" translator in my Firefox browser toolbar an aspiring Law student wrote me a while back and my recommendation was that he do like wise as it is an excellent way for Law,Medical &/or philosophy students/practitioners to grasp the meaning of words and "stuff" in general since and of course to be a good Detective having a well rounded understanding of "stuff" in general is essential I think it imperative that one particularly a Detective know the facts or the true literal meaning of a :word, phrase or definition as our language emanates so much from Latin I would be remiss w/o having a means to look up or understand it when need be! Thus here is a good tool I recommend for any aspiring "intellects" Arrow http://latinforum.org/viewtopic.php?p=15568

TO WATCHMAN "IN VERSE":

"I would never want to say anything to make you mad at me."

"As your tutelage has indeed set me free!"

" As much as I appreciate & respect your modesty!

" I can't forsake my judgment or credibility"

" Especially at the expense of an N.Y.P.D. Police Chaplain's Dignity!"

"So I just ask for you to understand my ideology!"

" And wear the honor bestowed with pride & integrity"

" As I mean what I say with absolute certainty!"

Thank You
Watchman & Casman for inspiring me to write my first poem! It is the first one that doesn't start with: "A man from Nantucket!"

TO QUALIFY: BECAUSE OF WHERE & WHEN YOU WORKED YOU HAD A FRONT ROW SEAT TO SOME OF THE "REAL LIFE" EVENTS THAT SHAPED OUR COUNTRY AND WORLD! IT WAS THE FODDER & BACKGROUND FOR HUNDREDS & THOUSANDS OF HOLLYWOOD COP & DETECTIVE STORIES!
