Hi I just wanted to know, is it possible to track the retailer of a product having only RN number? no SSN, just company name ?
I need to track down a retailer of my T- shirt and I just have these details.
I am in very stupid situation it's all about stolen t-shirt, a men who 've stolen it claims it's his and that he bought it this year in Ireland, and i am trying to proove him wrong, cause I bought it 8 years ago in USA, Chicago Rolling Stone music store. He don't event like this band that is on the t-shirt.Maybe it's possible if a part of products with this RN 38819 number was sold in europe last year or this year? I was also thinking that tags may be called different in USA and different in Europe, but maybe someone have ordered T-Shirts from USA and sold it in Ireland.Anyway from time he started to use it my t-shirt dissapeared, but it's still not enough to proove him wrong. I wonder if there is someone with detective mind to solve it.track it.
In short: how to check if a product with RN 38819 number was sold in Ireland this or last year? it's a Pearl Jam ( bootleg) T-shirt
http://www.tshirtsville.com/acatalog/pearl_jam_t-shirt-2.html
Is it possible to track it who and where was selling this product (not by internet)
tnx for eventual help |

Welcome to Detective Forums, this is the first time this type of question has been asked.
RN numbers can be traced back to an individual business, manufacturer, distributor or retailer.
Once identified you will need to contact and convince them to provide further information.
From my experience I doubt cooperation will be voluntary or forthwith without legal intervention.
Here’s the Federal trade commission’s Registered Identification Number Database: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/rn/index.shtml
Looks like you have some leg work ahead of you, good luck. |

If this is a bootleg t shirt the RN# may be a phony or may be a clone and belong to an unrelated or uninvolved company that doesn't make the t shirts. Good counterfeit merchandise is mad to look very legitimate. |

well more details about this t-shirt:
Pearl Jam (bootleg t-shirt),
colour-beige http://www.tshirtsville.com/acatalog/pearl_jam_t-shirt-2.html
size - XL
RN 38819
manufacturer:
Anvil knitwear,INC
228 east 46th ST.
New York,NY 10017
because it's no SSN number it's almost impossible to find/track the retailer because RN numbers are not individual for each item. Now I wonder if tags on t-shirts sold in USA are different than the ones in europe, if it's about the same t-shirt.I wrote to several places but I don't think they will help me,including Rolling Stone in Chicago and manufacturer, Anvil that is.
But it's highly probable that they could import such t-shirts from USA to Ireland.
Anyway tnx for the info. |

.
it's called bootleg t-shirt because the printing comes from an official Pearl Jam bootleg cover, and manufacturer is serious company. |
