A 2 year-old girl was found dead in her home this morning after being crushed by a 8.6-foot pet python.

The initial reports said this was a 12 foot snake and I have corrected my post to reflect the official 8.6 foot measurement.

Interesting story JL. Search warrant a half day later instead of exigent circumstances and or consent, is it possible the snake is a cover up for another crime? It will be interesting to know the post mortem results.

There was a recently concluded investigation into abuse and drugs before this snake incident.

Hunts sought to kill pythons in Fla. estimated 100,000 pythons are living in the Everglades.

Can anyone in Florida add to this story?

A bounty on them might be a good Idea, it has it's problems. But it may be cheaper than paying for full time hunters.

Works with bail jumpers. Smile Actually I think it's a great idea.

The bottom of this news story mentions the Governor also considering it.

With gators and pythons in Florida I'm probably safer staying in California with wild fires, earthquakes and road rage

Dang snakes are eating the gators.....
It’s probably safer strolling through a unnamed northern Ca. city 2 in the morning wearing red and yelling Sureos on a loud speaker. Smile

Hey Ratman /JL/Gary I think we need a Rosetta Stone to decipher lawman's hieroglyphic post. Wink
