I'm new here, started today. I was researching for a friend. However, my personal adoption story is a success. I didn't have none of the instant gratification that the internet offers today, 99% of my legwork was through phone calls and mail. I've been reading quite a few posts in regards to adoption and death records and I will tell everyone who is a contributor here needs some form of applause. The information and tools offered here can make a difference if someone takes the time to use them.
This probably is not the right place to list a link or two, I cover alot about adoption in my blog and on my home page. I would like to link back this forum on both if you allow that for people who are in need of research help. If one of the moderators wishes to contact me through e-mail and would like the sites to review, I would appreciate that.
Again, I found all the information very useful. But I would also like to know where the adoption success stories can be found.
Thanks for your time. |

A few days ago, I went to a message board (I don't want to say which one) where a lady had put up a post to look for her paternal aunt and had said that she had paid one of the many services that advertise about how they guarantee that they will find and provide contact information for someone for a fee.
The lady did not specify which site it was, but what she did say what that it gave her one number that just rang and rang and the other was a wrong phone number.
Well, after seeing her post, I did a search and made the connection and reunited the woman, her father and her aunt.
I am, by no means, a licensed professional, but I seem to have a 'hidden talent' because this is not the first reconnection I have made. |
