Since Katrina hit, my Grandma worries about my cousins. She hasn't heard from them since.

Since then I have been looking online paying all this money for nothing. All the info I have stops at 2005. Names, address, phone #'s. I search http://www.zillow.com/ to see that a house is no longer there. Also peoplefinders.com was a waste of money. Its all old information out of date. After less than 24hrs I am not able to log into that site.

Being stationed here in Japan I have found over 30 family's in 1 yrs from people looking for their lost family members here in Japan. I found my biological dad 3 days after he died, but still question about that. Nothing adds up. I heard I have sisters out there, but between all the different names he has used and different social security numbers he is complicated. His death certificate is not his name or his social security #!

I have found many people in the states thru my dreams and internet.

I have been searching thru the forums and the link from justlogic, but my dad's name is very rare tooo rare not able to find info on it anymore.

My cousins, all the info I have found so far its all dead ends. This morning I thought I found lot of info, but all phone #'s and emails are no longer in service.

I have been calling people that possibly live next door to my cousins. Here I am calling a complete stranger and asking them if they know my cousin or if they can go next door, down the street to see if its them. It was nice to know that an old man did say he knows one of them, and lives down the street from him, only see's them once a year for tax time and hung up on me.

I am back at all dead ends! I think all the info I keep finding is very old.

Try these links, the first link is a searchable Katrina survivor index list. The others are public Katrina resource assistance links.
The rare name should actually make the search easier. It's easier to find a particular Tomaechisa Hogistiencoffsmeckski than a particular John Smith.
