my boyfriend has been telling me that he was in the army for 18 months and he was staff sergeant, he got medically discharged, he was in 89 delta, but he doesnt have the card or anything, he really has no proof except for a pair of digitals that he could have bought from an army navy store, how do i find out if he is lying to me?

www.military.com you have to register but it's free to use. It will give you access to a Unit locator and other tools to look into your boyfriends military record

So he was in the United States Army for 18 months and made Staff Sergent. I am not the expert on Army promotions, but that seems a bit fast. I looked around at various sources and you might like to checkout this young Sergent's blog, it seems 3 to 4 years is considered fast.

As a former marine I can honestly say that in 18 months it is highly unlikely the the individual in question achieved said rank. I hope you find what your looking for. If the website i posted prior does not yield any information you might try contacting a recruiters station to see if they can direct you to personnel that get you the information you need
