Probably the reason why the DMV wouldn't give you the information is because you may not have a legitimate reason for needing the information. Some states will not release information without justifiable reason(s) due to privacy protection.

Your Husband can send for his own record.

This form is used by individuals to request their own driving record or their vehicle/vessel information. A $5 fee is required for each record requested. http://dmv.ca.gov/forms/inf/inf1125.pdf

Thanks Watchman, but you don't know my husband like I do. He won't do anything to benefit himself if his life depended on it, this includes copies of his driving history. Speaking of which if you don't pay a ticket for parking in a red zone and the ticket is over a month old, aside from a increase in the fine what else will the county enforcement do for unpaid parking tickets? Parking tickets are not criminal offenses in the State of California and you will not be arrested for your unpaid parking ticket. However, there is usually additional fine for tickets that are not paid on time and you may be subject to a DMV fee if a hold is placed on the registration of your vehicle. If a hold is placed on the registration of your vehicle you will be unable to register your vehicle until all your outstanding parking tickets have been paid in full. In addition your delinquent unpaid parking tickets may be referred to an outside collection agency for collection proceedings against you. Also your vehicle may be towed if you have five or more unpaid parking tickets issued to your license plate.

How about if the owner of the vehicle is on Bench Probation? Bench Probation in CA states that he must obey and follow all rules, laws and regulations. Parking tickets regardless in the eyes of the court and the Judge is a violation of conditions of Bench Probation. Is that true to your knowledge? I just dont like the fact that he is being stupid and not obeying the laws, that will only get him into more trouble with the courts. He told me he got the ticket a month ago, it has since doubled as far as the fine for the ticket goes. When it could have been so simple to just pay the ticket and get it out of the way. Go figure. I thought we already addressed parking citations. I suggest you contact the court clerk re terms of Bench Probation in your county.

I allow others to drive my vehicles; if they park in a red zone I’m ultimately responsible.

After looking in deeper to the parking citation, that he claimed he got, my, my, no such record w/ So CA county as of today.....contacted a local sheriff citation number and they did a plate check. Why the lie , I can understand. But no excuse for that. I feel a "kick him to the curb coming on"..... Mad

If you knew him then I wouldn't even have to reply to this post, but since you don't, and I have some knowledge of the pc, just had to ask.

Is this the agency that supposedly issued the parking ticket? Parking tickets are not filed with the court (California) unless the agency has decided the case and one wants to appeal the decision. You need to contact the agency that where it was issued.

I contacted both Sheriff and PD divisions in So.Ca county where this "supposely" ticket was issued. None on file. Not with his plate number. So one can assume that he did not get a ticket for parking in a red zone. I understand and know that citations such as parking are not filed with the courts, unless of course you have 5 or more unpaid within a set period of time.Then not only can you appear in court for unpaid tickets, but you can lose your license and have your vehicle impounded.
