Finding marriage/ divorce records in Alabama?

Hello everyone-
I need to find out if my current boyfriend is really divorced. They were married and divorced in the state of Alabama. I have wasted alot of money trying to find this information, since most sites with records for divorce and marriage do not list Alabama as an available state to research. Does anyone know if there are any free sites to find this information? If not free, then one that will really give me results?

Thanks for the link, but I have tried that and it only lists marriages and divorces untill the year 1968. He says that they have been divorced for 2 years, so I am assuming anywhere between 2004-2006. I have also tried the links on the page to Intelus(?) where you have to pay for information, but Alabama is not listed among the available states. Thanks for your help!
